理科成绩一塌糊涂，排名一度滑落至倒数。我开始迷茫，开始怀疑自己——是不是我本来就不行？是不是这个体系已经给出了答案？
I entered the high school division of Hainan Middle School with strong grades, placed into Class 1 — the elite science class. It was the most competitive group in the grade. And there, I disappeared into the crowd. My science grades crashed. My ranking slid to the bottom. I started doubting myself — was I just not good enough? Had the system already given me my answer?
高一升高二的暑假，我参加了在香港的职场体验项目。那是我第一次置身于完全不同的世界——国际化的氛围、亚洲金融中心的脉动、多元文化的碰撞。我突然意识到，人生的评价标准不止一种。
我开始思考：我适合什么样的体系？我想要什么样的教育？我需要离开这片以成绩定终生的土壤——一个教条的、死板的地方。我需要的不是入场券，而是离场券。我需要自由。
The summer between 10th and 11th grade, I joined a career immersion program in Hong Kong. For the first time, I was in a completely different world — international atmosphere, the pulse of an Asian financial hub, the collision of cultures. It hit me: there's more than one way to measure a life. I began asking: what kind of education suits me? What kind of system do I want? I needed to leave a place where a single exam score defined your entire worth — a rigid, dogmatic soil. What I needed wasn't an entry ticket. It was an exit ticket. I needed freedom.
但我没有一味幻想，也没有摆烂。我很清楚：要离开，就必须先在这套规则里赢。高考成绩就是我的离场券——不是入场券，是离场券。我要用最硬的成绩，换最自由的选择。
But I didn't just daydream or give up. I knew clearly: to leave, I had to first win by the rules of this game. My Gaokao score would be my exit ticket — not an entrance ticket, an exit ticket. I would use the hardest results to buy the freest choice.
